Leisure Time Travel, Inc. gladly adds this new lodge to our list of Yucatan Lodges. Grand Slam Lodge is located on the northern edge of Ascension Bay which is located in the middle of the huge acres of Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.

While at Grand Slam Lodge you will spend your days sight casting for Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit. Your evening will be spent enjoying all the luxurious items the lodge has to offer.

The lodge has 12 spacious luxury cabanas situated along the beach. Also on the property is the Kai restaurant and bar, the Grand Slam office and the fly shop. All rooms have air conditioning, a comfortable bed dressed in fine linens, tile floors, deluxe bathrooms, and a flat screen satellite TV…and the list doesn’t stop here.

Your fishing days will begin and end directly in front of the lodge. If it is too windy outside, the lodge also offers a dock on the back side of the island about 5 minutes away that you can board your boat from. You will be fishing from a well designed and efficient 21’ custom fiberglass fishing boat equipped with late model outboard motors. Bahama Lodges Preparing for the Fall Bonefish Season!!!

A few of our favorite Bahamian lodges including Abaco Lodge, Bair’s Lodge, and Mars Bay have closed for the summer.

In the Bahamas during the month of August & September many of the fishing guides harvest spiny lobster. This time is a perfect time for the lodge staff to prepare for the next group of anglers just waiting their turn to get in on the action.

Abaco Lodge is situated on a picturesque site overlooking the “Marls of Abaco”.  The Marls Edward Johnston Leisure Time Travel have long been known by well-traveled bone fisherman as one of the most unique and productive fisheries in the Bahamas. The boat dock is less than twenty-five steps from the main lodge. Each angler has their own private single-occupancy room that is outfitted with a Queen Anne style bed with a comfortable mattress to get a good night’s sleep.  BUT before you retire for the night, you may want enjoy a nice drink or two at the fully stocked bar. Andros Island, Bahamas : Bonefish Capital of the World

Andros Island Bonefish Club. Andros Island, Bahamas is the largest and least inhabited island of the 700 islands of the Bahamas.  Andros is known as the bonefish capital of the world. It is approximately one hundred and eight miles long by forty miles wide. The third largest Barrier Reef in the world runs along the entire length of the eastern coast of Andros. The reef is one hundred forty miles from north to south, and the outer edge drops off steeply to depths more than six thousand feet deep.
