Exuma is an archipelago of 365 islands in a 90 mile string which begins 35 miles southeast of Nassau. Once the lair of pirates and later a refitting base for the British Men O War. Exuma exemplifies what the Bahamas Islands have to offer; Fine white sand, vivid blue-green water, and enchanting protected anchorages.

In 1783, Lord Denys Rolle set sail for Exuma on board the English trading ship Peace and Plenty. The ships name was passed on to a cotton plantation, a sponge warehouse, and then to a well-known island family. Two centuries later the name characterizes this prominent lodge.
The Peace and Plenty Bonefish Lodge is located approximately 10 miles east of quaint Georgetown on Great Exuma Island. This exclusive new lodge provides well-appointed, air-conditioned guest rooms with private screen porches over looking a "blue hole" on the edge of the bay between Great Exuma and Little Exuma Island. The lodge provides access to some of the best bonefish flats in the Bahamas.

The area is perfect for bonefish and it is not uncommon to see schools of the fish tailing. If you like to wade there are more than sixty miles of good flats. There are a few permit there. On the reefs you will find an assortment of fish species available, including grouper and snapper. Offshore there is marlin, king mackerel, tuna, wahoo, and dorado. Fly-out seaplane adventures are available for those who want to wade the virgin flats of nearby islands.
The new lodge opened in 1995 has eight guest rooms . The lodge features a private fisherman lounge with full bar, card room, fly tying facilities, satellite TV and video library. The restaurant offers gourmet Bahamian seafood.

You can book your stay on a three-day, four-day, five-day or weekly basis. The rates for 2011 are based upon double occupancy.
