The Bahamian Islands are noted for their exceptional bonefishing and it is a year-round sport. The weather can slow the action down in the winter months, but all you need is a good warm day and the fish are back on the flats.

Permit are not as plentiful here as the Yucatan peninsula, but there are some around. The best places to find permit are the marls of Great Abaco, the east side of Andros, Berry Islands, and the south and east end of Grand Bahama Island

Tarpon are not plentiful here at any time of the year, so if you do get a shot at one consider it good fortune! The best place to find tarpon are the creeks and blue holes of Andros Island.

Barracuda are one of the most underrated fish, yet the "Cuda" is one of the most exciting fish to catch on the flats. The best time for catching Cudas is in the winter month when the water is cool and the fish are in shallow water. In the summer you will find the Cudas in deeper water around the reefs and creek mouths.

Hurricane season starts in June and ends in November. Peak hurricane months are August, September, and October. This is a great time to fish, but it is wise to purchase trip insurance!
