The Giant Trevally (GT) Capital of the World
Cosmoledo Atoll is located 560 nautical miles southwest of Mahé in the Seychelles. A roughly three-hour flight from Mahé to Astove (via Alphonse) connects with a one-hour boat transfer to Cosmoledo.
Cosmoledo, open from late November to April, is located close to the Aldabra Atoll, a World Heritage Site.
You will be accommodated at the new Eco Camp situated on Wizard Island. The camp comprises eight double-occupancy, air-conditioned Eco Pods with en-suite bathrooms. The shared dining and entertainment area is under a large, safari-style tent with beach sand floors.
The ocean around the Cosmoledo Atoll is particularly rich in fish, while the atoll itself is home to giant tortoises, large numbers of green turtles, and large colonies of frigate birds, terns, tropicbirds, and boobies.
Here you will find an explosive saltwater flats fishing experience. It is said that there are more Giant Trevally in this atoll than any other place in the world. In addition to the GTs, there are a wide range of species including Bonefish, Milkfish, Indo-Pacific Permit, and triggerfish.
