Explore The Osa Rainforest: Explore the most species-rich land-based ecosystem on Earth in this Osa Rainforest tour. Toughout the tour you will see brilliantly colored birds, like the scarlett macaw and the chestnut mandibled toucan, to rare mammals like, sloths, four species of monkeys ( Howler, White-faced, Spider and Squirrel), peccaries, and wild cats. This tour can be customized to suit all levels of physical ability. Closed toed shoes are required for hiking.
Half Day: $80 per person, Full Day: $115 per person. 2 person minimum. 12 hour notice required.

Corcovado National Park Rainforest: Encompassing 263 square miles of "the most biological intense place on earth" ,according to National Geographic, the Corcovado is a must see for everyone. Thoughout the tour you will see an abundance of wildlife. The park supports a sizeable population of the endangered Baird's Tapir, large herds of white-lipped peccaries, hundreds of bird species, and several species of large cats such as Jaguars, Ocelots, Cougars, and Margay. One hundred and fourty species of mammals live in the park, which represents 10% of the entire mammal speices in America!
Half Day: $125 per person. 2 person minimum. (Los Patos Ranger Station by car). 12 hours notice required. This tour is physically demanding.


Bosque las Tilapias: This tilapia fish farm is owned and operated by a local couple. The tour will start off with a presentation of the tilapia fish farm, including the various stages of production. Then you will precede though organic tropical fruit orchards and fields of pineapples, bananas, papaya, melon, sugar cane and manioc. Next you will follow well manicured trails through a picturesque lowland rainforest. At the end of the tour you will be offered samples of the some of the farm's products under an enormour Kapok tree.
Half Day: $85 per person. 2 person minimum. 12 hours notice required.


Finca Kobo Chocolate Farm: This tour offers a close look at the agricultural practices in the area. Featured is one of our most important native trees� chocolate! Due to the abundance of fruiting trees, wildlife abounds; particularly toucans and other colorful frugiverous (fruit eating) birds, and sometimes squirrel and white-face monkeys. The tour commences with a stroll through a traditional cocoa plantation then through flatland rainforest, then you will come to Kobo's experimental organic cocoa plantation where you will learn about new methods of cultivation.The tour concludes with an offering of fresh fruits produced on the farm, along with pure chocolate sauce for dipping and glorious baked plantains. Closed-toed shoes are required for hiking.

Miramar Canopy Zip-Line: The Miramar, meaning Ocean View, is a 17 acre tract of virgin forest. With its comanding view of the Gulfo Dulce and the surrounding rainforest gives Miramar its name. The platforms are strung along nearly a mile of rainforest canopy reaching heights of 138ft. State of the art equipment and highly trained guides are provided for the up most safety. The zip lines are relativly effortless making them appropriate for adolescants and mature travelers.
Half Day: $125 per person. 2 person minimum. Closed shoes are recommended. 12 hour notice requires.
Mangrove Kayak:During this tour you will kayak through the exotic and mysterious landscape of a river mangrove estuary. Along the river you will see many different aquatic birds such as Roseate Spoonbills, Boat-billed Heron, and White Ibis. You will catch a glance at a Jesus Christ (Basilisk) lizard darting accross the surface ofthe water on thier webbed hind feet. Howler and White-faced monkies may also be seen along the river. Life vests and dry bags are provided. Single & Double (Ocean Kayak brand) kayaks are available.
Half Day: $50 per person. 2 person minimum. 12 hours notice required.


Sunset Ocean Kayak:This tour takes you to the beautiful sheltered bay. You will be a short distance from the shore giving you a comanding view of the sunset. You will have the oppurtunity to search for local and mirgrating marine life such as Spotted and Bottle nosed Dolphins, Humpback Whales, and several species of sea turtles. Life vests and dry bags are provided. Single and double (Ocean Kayak brand) kayaks are available.
Half Day: $50 per person. 2 person minimum. 12 hour notice requires.
Puerto Jimenez Area Biking:This guided bicycle tour will take you through a quaint Costa Rican pueblo (small town). There are local craftsmen, shops, fishermen, the local church and schools, and natural scenery and wildlife to see. Due to the heat associated with the middle of the day, this Eco-Tour is best in the early morning and late afternoon. Helmets are provided.
Half Day: $60 per person. 2 person minimum. 12 hours notice required.


Horseback Riding:On this tour you will enjoy a horse back ride along a deserted stretch of tropical coastline of palm trees, white sand and clear blue water. The ride departs directly from the lodge. This leisurely ride will take you though a picturesque country road past tropical fruit tree forests and farms. Shoes are requires. Long pants are recommended. 220 lbs weight limit. Physically demanding.
Half Day: $85 per person. 2 person minimum. 12 hour notice requires.
Bird Watching: During this tour you will have the oppurtunity to get aquainted with some of the 854 species of birds in an area the size of West Virginia. Nowhere in Costa Rica are the birds more colorful and diverse than in the lowland rainforest surrounding the lodge. This tour is a great intro into the world of birding.
Half Day: $75 per person. Full Day: $95. 2 person minimum. 12 hours notice required.


Osa-Wildlife Sanctuary: This tour will give you the rare oppurtunity to see and interact with some of the local rainforest creatures like two and three toed sloths, spider and howler monkeys, macaws, parakeets and toucans. The sanctuary rehabilitates injured or illegally capured animals, while providing a permanent home for those too debilitated for the wild.
Your fee for this tour directly funds this noble effort. AM only: $125 per person. 2 person minimum. 24 hour notice required.
Golfo Dulce Excursion by Boat: This boat tour is approximatly 30 miles long and nearly half an hour by boat to the far shore. This is leisurly ride for those who want to enjoy the wind in thier face while viewing the sights and wildlife of the shorelines such as pelicans, turltes, and dolphins. AM Only $125 per person. 2 person minimum. 24 hours notice required.

Snorkeling the Gulfo Dulce by Boat: During this tour you will visit a variety of marine habitats including brain coral reefs and rock pinnacles. You will see many colorful reef fish like parrot, angel, butterfly fish, moorish, sergeant majors and many other. There are Moray eels, rays, octopi, and even the occasional whale shark or sting ray. All equipment is provided.
AM Only: $125 per perosn. 2 person minimum. 24 hour notice required.
Surfing Pavones Beach by Boat: A 30 minute boat ride will take you to Pavones, the second longest left-hand curl in the world. While at the Pavones you can ride the three minute long left. The guides will lead you to the appropriate spot for you level of experience. All quipment is provided. Physically demanding.
Full Day: $125 per person. 2 person minimum. 24 hours notice required.


Crocodile Bay Butterfly Farm & Crocodile Lagoon: During this tour you will walk through the butterfly farm enclosure which is designed to mimic the butterfly's habitat with the exact host plant species needed to perpetuate each species. Ten percent of the world's butterfly population lives in Costa Rica. The Blue Morpho is one of the largest and most brillant butterflies in exsistance, and is just one of the many varieties of butterflies that you will see during this tour. There are butterflies in each stage of development, from chrysalis, caterpillar, to adult phase. On your way through the farm you will visit Crocodile Lagoon on the property.
This tour is free to Crocodile Bay Lodge guest, walk-in guest $10 each.
Playa Preciosa (Precious Beach) Shuttle:If you just feel like relaxing on a tranquil, tropical beach than this is the tour for you. A short drive will take you to this semi-secluded, unspoiled beach. While at the beach you can enjoy many different activities such as bodysurfing and swimming or you can just kick back an enjoy the beautiful views.
This tour is free to Crocodile bay Lodge guest. 12 hour notice required.
