Every booking at Silver King Lodge is customized for the guest from their basic, 3-day fishing, all inclusive-base package.

In almost all cases, you will arrive in San Jose the day before you visit the lodge because of air schedules (We can arrange a charter aircraft if you want to be there sooner).
All Inclusive Packages Include:
- Three (3) ground transfers in the San Jose area;
- Transportation to-and-from San Jose to Silver King Lodge (scheduled airline or ground, your choice – charter flights to accommodate special itineraries available at cost);
- Our fully air conditioned accommodations – each large room has an en-suite bath;
- Three buffet-style meals daily;
- A highly experienced fishing guide (who is a Costa Rican government certified captain);
- A 23 foot double-hulled fiberglass fishing boat with radio; GPS fish finder; and fuel;
- Provided top line fishing tackle and jigs & lures (including top-notch conventional and spin casting bluewater fishing tackle, light tackle for inland species, a Sabiki for catching live bait, stocked tackle box and loaner fly tackle setup specifically for big tarpon in our unique fishery);
- WiFi (limited bandwidth);
Daily included same-day laundry service (picked up in the morning – on your bed by the afternoon); - Inclusive bar – Included beverages are:
- locally available soft drinks, juice, ice tea, and filtered water;
- Costa Rican beer (Imperial, Imperial Light, Kaiser non-alcoholic beer on request – other Costa Rican beers on request);
- Costa Rican rum (Ron Rico and Cetenario Selecto anjeo);
- And the house Chilean red and white wines.
- Call liquors are still only $5 a drink and other locally available beers can be requested when you book your trip (see Special Requests)
- Other available amenities include our pool, the hot tub, and sauna (due to our remote location maintenance factors beyond our control sometimes happen).
- Eco tours and sightseeing (subject to prior coordination)
Not Included in Your Package:
- Flights to and from Costa Rica and hotels in San Jose are not included.
- Costa Rican sport fishing licenses ($25 at the lodge)
- Exit visas if they are not already included in your ticket price.
- Tips are not included and we provide a suggested tip schedule for guides and staff on our Trip Information page (com/trip-info/ ).
- Massage service (by our own staff – extremely relaxing after catching a few tarpon!)
When is the best time to come fishing? During September and October you will typically experience dry weather with calm seas about 99% of the time. From January thru March, it is usually 75% dry weather with calm seas, and April, May and early June, will be typically dry with calm seas about 95% of the time.
The rainy season begins during the end of June and it usually rains until the end of August. The rains begin again in Mid November with December being the wetest month. We don’t recommend fishing during those times.
If you are interested in fishing both of the beautiful coast of Costa Rica in a single trip we will adjust your itinerary accordingly. No problem! We will put you in the right place at the right time for your dream fish.
FISHING GEAR: Silver King Lodge provides all fishing gear – they have limited “loaner” fly tackle (each guide has a fly rod and reel and we have a small number of extra loaner fly rods for those that break their own rods). Silver King charges people at the ‘in Costa Rica’ cost for lost or broken rods, reels and fly lines. The lodge has some fly line and leaders available for sale. Silver King Lodge guides tie flies for sale if you need some. If you use up the tackle in your guide’s tackle box, you will have to purchase more in the shop.
Payment Policy
A $500 deposit is required within 14 days of your reservation request, and the balance is due, in advance, 60 days prior to arrival at the lodge.
Cancellations: When a guest leaves the lodge early, due to weather or fishing conditions, a credit for another trip for the remaining days will be at the discretion of the management. The initial three day package is non-refundable. The only days eligible for credit are after the original three day trip.
We highly recommend out customers to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance!
