Nestled between Mexico, Guatemala, and the
Caribbean sea, is the small country of Belize, once know as British Honduras. It is an English-speaking country, a natural
paradise, safe, stable, peaceful, and virtually undiscovered.
Turneffe Flats Lodge is a romantic Caribbean paradise located just off the coast of Belize on the Turneffe atoll which is part of the 200-mile long Belizean coral reef, a portion of the largest barrier reef system in the western hemisphere.
The Turneffe Atoll is the largest of four coral atolls
in the western hemisphere. Turneffe Flats Lodge offers some of the best fishing and diving conditions in the world. Fish and
sea life are graciously abundant.
Upon your arrival in Belize City you will be transferred to one of the three 32' Ocean Master Sport fisherman owned by the lodge. The run out to the lodge takes about one hour and is a pleasant way to get you in the right frame of mind for the week you will spend at Turneffe Flats. In the
craft, you run a short distance through sparkling open waters. In the distance, lining the horizon, a string of palm trees
border Turneffe Islands, dazzling and inviting. As you near your destination at the Turneffe atoll, the water colors changes
from the deepest blue, to azure, to aquamarine, to palest green where crystalline waters lap the white coral sand beaches. At you dock, it will be hard to pull your eyes from the teeming waters and the adjacent coral flats with the promise of bonefish and permit. The lodge's cabins are nestled between coconut palms and have a wonderful view of the coral reef and Caribbean
sea. You will unload, have a quick lunch, and then off to fish for the remainder of the day and the rest of the week.

The new air-conditioned cottages are built
on a quiet lagoon within a few hundred feet of the reef. You will be please to know that all the cabana's have new bathrooms, two double beds, windows, verandahs and closets. Imagine awakening in your beach-front cabin to morning coffee or tea served on your verandah. The surrounding waters are crystal clear and provide a varied habitat that range from sheltered
mangrove islands in the inner portion of the atoll to the vast white coral sand flats on the windward side of the reef.
There are many species of fish to look for
on the flats, coral reef, and offshore. The area offers perfect targets for both the fly fisherman and the light spinning
enthusiast. Ten pound plus bonefish are common. Ocean side flats are 5 to 20 minutes from the lodge and are some of the most
wade able and picturesque flats found anywhere. The mangroves provide a rich environment for tarpon, snapper, barracuda,
jacks, snook, and many other varieties. There are plenty of permit. Turneffe Flats is one of the rare spots in the world
offering a legitimate shot at a Grand Slam. The boats (16' Dolphins) and equipment at the Turneffe Flats lodge are all first
class.

The lodge can accommodate 12 anglers. In 2011 the fishing packages range from $3,385 to $3,884 per person for a week based upon double
occupancy. This will include Saturday airport pick-upa and boat transfers, all lodging at Turneffe Flats, Three meals daily including evening hors d'oeuvres, guided fishing. The price is inclusive of the Belizean Value Added Tax.
Not included are airfare to Belize, alcoholic beverages, gratuities for guide, and items of personal nature. Belize is easily
accessible by direct scheduled airline service.

The diving package ranges from $2,088 to
$2,251 per person for a week based upon double occupancy. The package provides three dives per day, a Blue Hole dive if
desired, at least one night dive, tanks, weights, and air, all meals (including those in Belize City). The price is inclusive of the Belizean Value Added Tax. Not included are airfare to Belize, alcoholic beverages, gratuities for guide, and items
of personal nature.

There is a combination fishing and diving
package which ranges from $3,531 to $4,096 per person for a week based upon double occupancy. The combination package
allows you to fish or dive more or less as you desire throughout the week. This includes fully guided fishing (two anglers
per guide and boat), up to three dives per day, tanks, weights, and air, double occupancy lodging, all meals, and all
transportation while in Belize. Not included are airfare to Belize, alcoholic beverages, gratuities for guide, and items of
personal nature.
There is an Atoll package available
for $2,034 per person for a week based upon double occupancy. The Atoll package will include accommodations, meals, a daily activity, snorkeling from the lodge. Not included are airfare to Belize, alcoholic beverages, gratuities for guide, and items of personal nature.

There is a non-activity package available
for $1,817 per person for a week based upon double occupancy. The non-activity package provides snorkeling
from the lodge, lodging, and meals. Not included are airfare to Belize, alcoholic beverages, gratuities for guide, and items
of personal nature.
All packages begin in Belize City on Saturday. Fishing, diving and other activities begin on Sunday through the following Friday. Guests leave early enough Saturday morning to catch all flights leaving Belize. When the lodge is not fully booked we will make arrangements for stays of less than a full week.
