AVAILABILITY (FALL 2022)

 Mars Bay Bonefish Lodge is a small operation. Availability is extremely limited.  Please book early as most dates are booked a year in advance.

You’ll be on the water early and back safely in time for dinner. At the end of the day if you still want to fish or practice your cast you’re welcome to step out onto the flats in front of the villa and fish till dark. We catch bones there on a regular basis. You will find the accommodations clean and modern; the food is great, the equipment reliable, the guides excellent, and the beer ice cold.

The above package rates include: Transportation to and from Congo Town (TZN), room tax, accommodations, wireless internet,  all meals, boat and guide. Phones calls are free through the VOIP line only.

Beer and alcohol is also included (except in the boat). In stock is Kalik beer, rum, gin, vodka, and whiskey only. If you require a particular brand of beer, rum, gin, or vodka you’ll have to bring it with you. If you would like something in particular such as a 15 year old single malt scotch or a special bottle of wine you’ll have to bring it with you.

The lodge would prefer you did not drink at all during the fishing day. It’s an issue of safety. You are standing on an unstable bow when poling and doing 35 mph on plane in two feet of water. But if you insist the house will buy two beers per person to take in the boat. Additional beers for the boat are $4 each.

Not included in the rates are:

• Air travel to Congo Town, client is responsible for making these arrangements.
• guide tips (recommended $100/day/boat.) Please tip (cash please) your guide daily as Guides are rotated
• housekeeping/ kitchen staff gratuity (recommended $25 per night per guest) and taxi driver tip.
• No Half Day Fishing Rates, guided bonefishing is $800 per day
• The lodge does not offer reef or blue water fishing or snorkeling
• Laundry service – No same day service. Water is limited and power is expensive on the island. The lodge will not run the washer for a  single shirt or pair of socks. We ask that guests combine their laundry. When we have a load the maid will wash and fold your laundry. She does this from the kindness in her heart and a tip. Please leave her something extra at the end of your stay.

Arrivals & Departure: Arrivals must be after 2pm. and departures must be before 10am.

Mars Bay Bonefish Lodge Payment Policy

Deposit and Final Payment:  Reservations made more than 90 days prior to arrival require a 50% deposit to confirm the reservation and is due within 14 days of booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to arrival. Reservations made 90 days or less from arrival require payment in full. Your dates are not locked in until the deposit or payment in full is received.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: The deposit and/or final payment will be refunded if written cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to arrival. NO REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS MADE 90 DAYS OR LESS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. You may not reschedule for a later date, you will not be issued a credit. No refunds due to inclement weather. Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that you have read and accept the deposits, cancellation, refund policy.
