Local fruits available for breakfast at Playa Blanca Lodge
In most cases guests will be met at the airport and escorted to private transportation which will take them to the FBO to meet their private air charter flight. Upon departure guests will be transported from the FBO to the major airlines terminal. In case you need help with any of your luggage… just ask. You will be met by a Playa Blanca representative who will help with your transfer.
Flight Scheduling: It is suggested that all guest arrive Cancun, Mexico (CUN) on Friday. The hotel of choice is the Courtyard Marriott Cancun, located less than 10 minutes from the airport where most guests choose to spend Friday night. Saturday morning the lodge will provide charter service to Casa Blanca. The lodge generally uses a Caravan, Kodiak or Cessna 206 for their charters. Return flights should be scheduled for after 11;30 AM on your departure day. This allows for the charter to return to Cancun and have sufficient time to get through check in processes. Any flights that do no fall within this time period must be approved 30 days in advance by the lodge and may result in air charter surcharge. All airline or private flight itineraries must be supplied to the lodge 30 days in advance of your arrival in Cancun.
*If you can arrive in Cancun before 10:00 am on Saturday the lodge can accommodate you. However, if you are late or detained for any reason this may result in air charter surcharge. This flight/time period must be approved 30 days in advance by the lodge.
In Transit Emergencies or Flight Delays: The lodge require clients to arrive Friday to Cancun in order to facilitate their charter schedule. If you happen to have delays and arrive later than 10am on Saturday morning you may incur a fee for charter services. These charges are listed below.
Arriving in Cancun: Upon arriving in the Cancun airport you will be processed by Immigration. You will then claim your baggage. Next you will clear Customs. After customs, proceed to the Arrival Area outside. The Arrival Lobby will be full of tour operators with arriving passengers and is usually somewhat chaotic. Most guests will be staying at the Courtyard Marriott and can find the shuttle at platform 26. If the shuttle is not there it will usually return with 15-30 minutes. It is advised to call the hotel and request to be picked up (1-800-020-3373 or +52 998 287 2200) Note that other taxi’s and operators will charge $40-80 for the short ride. It is advised to call the Courtyard shuttle service which is solely based on gratuities. Saturday the transfer from the Courtyard to the FBO will take approximately 10 minutes. You will then board a plane and fly directly to the Casa Blanca airstrip. The flight takes approximately 50 minutes.
The above package rates include: The cost of a round-trip charter from Cancun to the Island, deluxe seaside accommodations, all meals, non-bottled beverages, snorkeling, wind surfing, sea kayaking, bicycling, archaeological excursions, birding tours, use of all recreational equipment. Fishing rates include guide and boat beverages. Wi-Fi. WhatsApp and Zoom work fine, 2 – 3 seconds delay due to satellite communications (no streaming apps, movies, YouTube, etc.)
Not included in the rates are: alcoholic beverages, laundry service, guide service or staff gratuities.
Partial Week Itineraries: Should begin or end on a Saturday. Playa Blanca may not except reservations which span a Saturday.
Air Charter Surcharges: Additional air charter charges will apply for groups for which extra flights are required. Charges are for late arrivals, early departures and/ or partial week itineraries. Cost of air charter is included in the above rates and only apply to flights on Saturday. For all other itineraries there is a surcharge based on the number if passengers aboard.(1 Pass. = $1,818.00/ 2 Pass.= $909.00 ea./ 3 Pass.= $606.00 ea./ 4 Pass.= $454.00 ea.)
Guide and Room Request: All guest of Playa Blanca may request a specific room or guide assignment for their stay. Guide and room request are determined by a “first pay -first choice” policy. Guest reserving and paying according to policy. “first” for a particular space will have priority when guide and room assignments are determined. If payment are not received according to Payment Policy (see below) guide and room request may be altered without notice by Casa Blanca / Playa Blanca staff.
NO guide or room request are guaranteed. The Playa Blanca staff will do their best to honor all request, although a guide may be ill or unable to work a particular week.
Tarpon Lagoon fishing: Is very limited and NOT guaranteed. Requests must be made prior to your trip and will only be considered upon receipt of ALL monies due paid according to our policy. Lodge manager reserves the right to protect the Tarpon Lagoon and its resources.
Gratuity: Recommended tip for a fishing guide is $75 – $100 per day/ per boat. Recommended tip for house/ restaurant staff $20 – $30 per day or $120 – $200.00 per week per guest.
Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve Entrance Fee of $2.70 USD per dya per angler will be charged at the end of the stay on the bar bill.
Payment Policy
Payments & Cancellations: A 50% deposit is required within 10 days of booking to confirm a reservation. It the reservation is made within 60 days of the scheduled arrival, payment in full is required in order to confirm reservation. A full refund, less $750 per person cancellation fee, will be made for written cancellations received at least 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival.
We highly recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance.
There will be no refund for cancellations received within 60 days of the scheduled arrival. There will be no refunds made for unused portions of the packages or unused air charter. If your trip is cancelled due to a hurricane or some other catastrophic event, the lodge will make every effort to offer alternate dates, but there can be no guarantee that this will be possible. In this event Playa Blanca lodge will retain all deposits and payments.
If the final payment is not received within 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival, the lodge may elect to cancel the reservations and resell the space, retaining all deposits and payments. Payment of a deposit acknowledges your understanding and acceptance of these terms.
